Netanyahu Cancels

Once again the Israeli Prime Minister is at odds with the rest of the world. He was supposed to go to Washington to attend a conference on Nuclear security. Israel pretends it is not a nuclear power, but it is with more than 150 warheads, according to ex. U.S. President Jimmy Carter. It refuses to sign the non proliferation treaty. The Israeli PM has funked going to Washinton because Turkey and Egypt, quite rightly, want to ask him some questions about his nuclear intentions.  But no. He will not go, because according to his spokesman, they want to ‘slam’ (?) Israel.

I really do not know why we put up with this. We should stop treating Israel as an ally. They cause us far too much trouble. An exceedingly annoying friend maybe.  Allies are different. They work together.
