Corbyn: The People’s Prime Minister

September 27, 2018 By Malcolm Blair-Robinson

Considering the disruption caused to British politics by Brexit, Labour had a very good conference indeed. At last it has broken through all the internal arguments, some but not all, the dying gasp of the failed New Labour project and emerged once again as the radical party of the left.

Its roots and its purpose are to advance the quality of life of the ordinary people who are the backbone of the state and who fight its wars, protect its health, maintain its services, enforce its laws, educate its young and build a future better than the past. The means a re-structured economy which creates new wealth to be shared among the many rather than the current model which ever enriches the few.

Corbyn has transformed Labour and given it back its soul. He is now on course to become the first people’s prime minister since Clement Attlee.
